Hello, sweet friends!
It was, indeed, a lovely and quiet Easter here, despite my late start preparing. I certainly hope you can say the same...
Yay, spring! I can think of no better time to take a peek into the vibrant and happy home of Jek (also see here, for some of the best kids' crafts around), one of my favorite people in the world.
Jek and her husband have lived in a tiny (fewer than 500 square feet) Los Angeles home for over ten years. Small it may be, but it's a delight from start to finish...
Jek's love of color and vintage and plain ol' fun are everywhere in evidence. It's really my kinda place...
How's this for cool? This vintage refrigerator--it houses their television. See?!:
The other views are no less smile-worthy:
A paint-by-number of the couple on their wedding day...and below, the ever-evolving, but always happy, bed...
I love it, love it, love it.
How to pack so much love into one tiny space? You follow your heart--and Jek and her mister are very, very good at that. In fact, in three and a half short weeks, she and her husband are leaving this little spot they've called home for so long...They are packing up and storing all their belongings, climbing into a ten-year-old Rav4 (should totally be a Kia Soul), and taking the road trip of a lifetime.
They are visiting friends and family, camping out, and generally enjoying their lives for the next long while. Where to end up? Who knows? It certainly will be exciting to watch, and I, for one, will be cheering them on all the way...
Thank you, Jek, for all that you do and every wonderful bit of your life that you share. Best of all luck on your trip, and I can't wait to see where the road leads.
Cheers, all! Have a great one.
xoxox.
I've been a fan of Jek's home, photos, and crafts for quite a while, and I too have been amazed at how much fun stuff she's been able to contain and display in that adorable, tiny casa!

Lovely and quiet? Even after the earthquakes all day long?? :)
Love this home!

Well, yes, Kira, you're right! I wrote this before the quakes, so at that point, it was lovely and quiet. That was a huge quake, though, and really scary. Even for me, a California native. All is well, though, in San Diego. :o)
