Inspired by this awesome banner, ours is for my sweet husband--the very best man I know:
It actually looks like this, over our bed:
But I didn't want anyone to think that it referred to anything other than our general life issues right now (you know how some people are). So, although it's there, it's only there because it is the biggest space available, and it is a spot I'm certain he and I will see frequently. (Man, I'm so paranoid.)
Anyway. There it is!
xoxo.
that's soooo cute and special!!! and i tooootally know how some people are! [but you are kind of paranoid! ;) ]

Katie, I know! Working on it...:o)
Mo, you're right. I wish I had done "things will get better" but I didn't have the space. Next time! I'm planning a few more, to "up" the positive energy around here, so I'll think a bit harder for the next one...

I love it. Sending all the positivity your way I can--for both you and your husband! Also, is your bed unmade? If so, it looks like mine does most days of the week!

i *love* it! those colors + prints, so sweet :) i want to make one! i'd have to hang it above our bed, since that's the largest wall space we have, too...and if it's hung there, maybe it will remind me that ella's days of getting up at 3 am won't last forever :) i'm so sorry to hear about what you and your husband are dealing with and am sending lots of warm wishes and positive thoughts your way...

Yes, my friend, my bed is unmade. It usually is these days. I don't care a whit. Life it short, you know! (Plus, more emotional growth--I acutally took a picture of my unmade bed and posted it on my blog. Boy, I'm really growing up! I think.) :o)

LOVE THIS! our bedroom is a similar layout (between two windows) and i need something there. perfect! now to find the words.....did you just cut out letters from chipboard/cardboard and cover with fabric? how did you string them? awesome.

Jenna, it was even easier than that! I just cut out the letters free-hand from cardstock scrapbook paper. Then I punched 2 holes with a holepunch and ran a piece of twine through. Easy-peasy!

You inspired me, I came across your picture and the message went straight to my heart. I am a mother of three small children and currently out of commission due to Mono.
This message was exactly what I needed. I blogged about your post here http://sippycupsandfingerprints.blogspot.com/2009/10/his-banner-over-me-is-love.html
And am thrilled to have my own here

Thanks, you'll never know how happy this has made me!!
