the beautiful world of herzenart

Good morning, all! 

I am so, so stoked to be bloggin' as usual today, and all the more so, as I have a wonderful site to share with you.  I mean, chock-full of inspiration!

 

It's Herzenart, the wonderful, whimsical world of Sandra Monat, from Cologne, Germany!  She is a toy-designer and artist whose work is instantly recognizable if you have ever seen it before.

  

Her figures all have a wonderful storybook quality, and seem to be ready to hop off the shelf and create a little bit of their own fun...

 

I am absolutely in love with the way that Sandra seems to look at the world.   Her wonderful blog is full of inspiration, whimsy, and color.  She is inspired by everything, from VW vans to antique shops and mermaids.  She shares the beauty of her city, the wonderful books she finds, and her muse, a blue sheep named Friederike!  I truly want to live in her world...

Sandra is one of those people who, amazingly, seem to turn their whole lives into a work of art.   There are few things I admire more in a person--and I admire Sandra tremendously.  I'm so grateful for the internet and the incredible people that touch my life through it each day.  Aren't you!?

I have never enjoyed a blog/website/shop more than I have Sandra's. Her artwork with a pair of scissors and a sewing machine......and her imagination fits my fancy completely. I wish she had more to purchase...more vikings. And her wonderful Viking Dragors...(ships). I hope that she will make more soon...I keep looking. I found her creations...Mad Dog...and her angel in a wonderful 'Softies Book'. How much fun that was.
