Hello, my dears!
So...yes. The crazy lady walking around the bookstore with her camera and notepad? That would be me. But I have to document my likes and needs so that when I go to the library, I'm not at a total loss as to what to check out. That's just the way it's gotta be.
But! Last time, as I was nosing around the young adult section, I noticed this new series of Penguin books with super wonderful covers and introductions by cool people. (Especially note: Anne of Green Gables as drawn by Lauren Child? It's like my head just exploded.)
Aren't they wonderful?! Be still, my book-loving heart...And, I'm sure there's lots more, but this was all I could find. They tried their very best to work their magic and make me buy them, but I resisted. (Which is especially well-done, since I already have all of these books in other editions. Talk about an expense that's hard to justify...! But, perhaps you or someone you love does not, and these would be a lovely idea?)
Anyway, may you be inspired today, where ever you might find yourself. Cheers!

P.S. Don't miss this--it made my day!

These are amazing!! I also own these books too, so I will have to skip buying them for myself haha! But a gift would be wonderful! :)
And you sounds JUST like me with your notebook, browsing around the bookstore. I write down everything and then get it all from the library! :) YAY for saving money!
Your blog is adorable- just found it and am wanting to go back and read it ALL!

These covers have the New/Old look that reminds me of when I was a little girl. Books are a treasure.

Oooh nice, nice ,nice, like them all, the happy and jumping 'Heidi' especially :)
I love book covers and that's probably the reason that i've a nice collection of them, i've made a post lately with a selection of my old book covers on my blog.
Found your blog recently, and it's great, i've made a link on my blog and follow you frequently from now on :)

I love these! My youngest is Wizard of Oz obsessed and her sister could always used another copy of Black Beauty. What's better than a well-stocked book shelf?! Our library limit used to be 100 items, but it has recently dropped to 50 items at one time. Never thought this would be a problem.
I just wrote a post today about the film Objectified. The film is definitely causing me to reassess a lot of the "objects" in our household. Select books are some of the few possessions that pass the test as items I grow more fond of over the years.
