So, you may be wondering...what's up with the "taking a break" thing?
It's simple really; I just couldn't. This little blog is a good part of what keeps me sane, so I'm doin' it. It sums up the way that I need to see the world, and the way that I really do believe it to be. It will evolve, as all growing things do, but I can't just stop. I love to see you here, and I'll be doing "that thing I do," because I love to do it. Thanks for hanging in there with me while I figured it all out. (Part of me wants to delete those posts where I was so unsure, but that would also delete your incredibly uplifting comments, and I could never, ever do that.)
Here's a little piece of art from one of my favorites, Christina Romeo, which sums it all up nicely:
Yup. That's me.
Love to you all, sweet ones.
xoxox.
I'm so pleased to hear this!! I've only just started following your blog, but it's already top of my 'just checking the internet..' list!! You are so inspiring, and I love what you bring in to our homes! Thanks for sticking with it!!

I'm so glad your break was short lived. I hope that what is weighing you down will be lifted soon and you can roll a little easier. Happy Valentine's Day!

YAY - I stayed away because I thought you were on break and now - on a Sunday, no less - I have loads to look at.
Thanks - have a sweet one and do your thing your way for as long as you like (forever sounds best).

Oh I know all about that... There are lots of reasons to ask yourself 'why keep blogging?', so many reasons why sometimes it might seem wise to just quit it. But then... it's so nice to do, it's addictive, it brings you all kinds of unexepected things... Maybe blogging is a bit like eating chocolate? ;)

So glad your break was short! I had only found you a few weeks before that post, and was so bummed my new fav site might be disappearing.
I've gotten so much inspiration from you. I don't have kids yet, but when I saw the post about your family art room becoming a school room for one of your daughters, I was so moved I had to show my husband. You really opened my eyes to the possibility of home schooling, but even if that's not a path we take, I am determined to have a room like that in my home for the whole family to enjoy. Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you!! I'm so glad you've decided to stick around. Your aesthetic is so like mine and I look forward to every post. P.S. If you're a reader, check out And The Skylark Sings With Me, an absolutely inspiring homeschooling book (makes me want to learn about anthropology and have another go at the piano along with my daughter.)
