I love Richard Scarry even more now than I did as a child, and I'm okay with that! This book is worth every penny, for bright, cheery pics and super-cute (but not too cute) and quick little gems of stories...
Do check it out, if you'd like!
That is the best Christmas book ever--non-religious, non-consumerist. I cry when the puppy finds a home and when the kids get the elephant a wife.

Diana, I totally agree. It's just sweet and charming and fun and cheerful. And perfectly non-consumerist! You just can't beat Richard Scarry. And I *loved* the link on your blog to the "Busytown" birthday party. (I may have to make myself a lowly worm!)...Go see, y'all:

I'm a lucky wife and mom of two lovely little girls in San Diego, California, trying my best to grow up.
