I'm signing off until Monday (yeah, right) in order to do several very pressing tasks:

:: eradicate the evil first-grade germ that has hit all five of us in succession this week.  It was like watching dominoes fall, I tell you.  There is much cleaning in my immediate future...

:: call my sweet and patient friends (you have no idea), before I don't have any friends anymore,

:: make a thing or two, by golly,

:: and, celebrate halloween with the fam.  Pumpkin-carving this afternoon, stomach-aches tomorrow night.  Good times.

Not really blog-worthy here, but I'm rawther under the weather, and well...it's cute!

Painted the girls' nails last night!  Whoo-hoo!

I do think they're sort-of awesome.  I mean, look!:

What a cutie!  (Miss Olivia is sick, too, so no full-on shots of her.  But she's really cute, too...promise!)

cart before the horse

I woke up this morning and checked my comments, as I always do.  It's my favorite thing to do as I drink my coffee and listen to the girls argue in the bathroom while getting ready for school.  So relaxing...

Anyway, I always love checking out your blogs from the link on the comments...and this morning I found an artist that I have long been a fan of, who had visited my little ol' site.  It's Jo, from Cart Before the Horse!  What an honor...You've probably seen her incredible creations, but just in case you haven't, here we go, with just a few.  Buckle your seat belts!:

Cart Before the Horse is a collaborative husband and wife team comprised of Jo and her equally talented husband Dylan.  They sell their wonderful wares here and here, and Jo has a super-inspiring blog (where you can get lots of lovely sneak-peeks into her creative goodness), and they have a cool websitewith lots of their past faves that you have to see.

This post doesn't even begin to cover the wonderful world of Jo and Dylan, but it provides lots of links, so that you can discover for yourself.  There is so, so much more to see from these two funny and talented people, and I urge you to pour another cup, and settle in...

i'm thinkin' stocking stuffers

Wonderful etsy shop yaelfran has been producing sweet art and craft for quite some time now.  But her latest venture, tiny collaborative coloring books featuring various etsy artists, has me doing something that can only be called a "happy dance"...

 
They are petite-ly sized, just right for little hands, and feature some really fantabulous art... 

October's book is "We Are Healthy."  So sweet.  A special edition called "We Are Scared" was published just for Halloween!
 
Each month is a new theme, but previous months are available...

I really love them.  But my favorite of all is the one called "Girls Have Many Girls," which was actually illustrated by yaelfran alone, and features drawings of girls and all the girls they have inside them...

 
Perfect little stocking stuffers, no?  I love that they are not only beautiful, but something that children can really think about and interact with.
