I just love a girl who recognizes a good pair of shoes when she sees them.
Take Janet Hill, for instance. This girl has got the eye. She not only recognizes a good pair of shoes, she paints pictures of them. I love it.
Look!:
three flats
she liked to call them her canary shoes
floppy bows
Janet seems to love the feminine way of life--all the things we girls do to make ourselves feel a little prettier. And although that's not usually my bailiwick, I am so enchanted by these paintings (and not just the shoes)!
chloe's vanity table
the line-up
austen dresses
Aren't they beautiful?!
Janet's shop has much, much more to share...lots of beautiful interiors and many, many fascinating portraits. You'll love 'em.
xoxo.
Enchanting is the perfect word....Magical, ethereal, dreamy....Love them! Great find.

I have never left a comment for a blog or blogger before, but I just had to tell you that I LOVE what you're doing, and love your voice. I don't know how I came to find your blog, but I got linked to it somehow, and have spent the last several days enjoying it! I'm a writer and crafty gal, too, (I write craft books...) and I just thought I'd let you know how terrific I think your stuff is. Also, I am REALLY impressed how clean your house is, and loved the three day full disclosure line :)
Nice to "meet" you.
Jodi Kahn
(I have a blog on typepad, that I've barely figured out yet. I'm hoping to spend more time with it after I get through some upcoming deadlines. -- yours is very inspiring!)
