A holiday is approaching, and you know what that means at our house?
CHOCOLATE. And lots of it. To be honest, we're never really out of chocolate around here, but a holiday gives me a good reason to buy plenty and put it on display. Nothing says "celebrate" like m&m's, I always say. (The angel is by my mom--isn't she sweet!?) Then, when you combine the chocolate with the poster that hangs beneath it, you have a philosophy of life:
But remember, and this is important: you have to Keep Calm, Carry On, and Eat Chocolate, or it doesn't work. Believe me.
I'm trying to get some items ready for my etsy store (Jared has taken to calling my first day open--Thursday--my "launch." Do you think maybe he's expecting too much out of this little venture? Um, yeah. I think so, too.) Here's what I worked on yesterday. First, a couple of paintings:
I like the size of these--just 6x6"--perfect for tucking on a bookcase, window sill, or mantel. Also, got a very "valentine-y" bracelet done:
And a sweet little necklace:
This has a freshwater pearl, a toggle clasp and a "patchwork" chain--I really love it.
So, that's that! I'm off to work on more things for my "launch" (tee, hee!) Have a beautiful, creative day...
Oh, and don't forget! Today is the last day to leave a comment for the give-away! Thanks so much to everyone who commented so far...
Ok, I adore the "happy" painting, and how cute is your necklace!?!? You are so creative!!!
